One card, four scoring styles — keyword fill, free-text keyword match, numeric tolerance, and an ungraded reflection.
Fill-blank: In one word, what does a grounded answer link back to?
Text: Name one thing that makes an Assistant answer trustworthy.
Keyword match: mentions of citing, sources, or grounding are accepted.
Numeric: A course has 8 modules and you have finished 6. What percent is complete?
%Reflection (ungraded): How would you use the Assistant in your own workflow?

Custom interactivity
When a template doesn't cover what you need, a custom interactivity is a coded, self-contained widget scoped to your course — a simulator, a bespoke practice tool, or any interactive the standard types don't offer. Unlike a custom guided experience (an AI conversation), a custom interactivity is deterministic and runs entirely in the browser.
Here's a working example — an interactive nuclear-fission simulation. Play it, adjust the moderation, and watch the chain reaction:
Neutrons collide with uranium atoms, splitting them to release energy and more neutrons, a chain reaction. Adjust the moderation to control neutron speed, then play, pause, and refire to experiment.
Simulation stats
How it works
- Adjust the moderation level to control neutron speed.
- Slower neutrons (high moderation) are more likely to cause fission.
- Each split atom releases 2–3 more neutrons.
- Pause and refire to try different approaches; reset to start over.
Every interactivity here is generated from your own documents. To build your first course, see Creating a course.
