Start with your LMS administrator

Most LMSs are managed by one administrator who spends hours on reports and reminders. Joy can start with just that person. Once it saves them time every week, they can bring it to the rest of the team.

Plain-language questions: connect your SmarterU account and ask “which new hires haven't started onboarding?” The answer comes back as names, start dates, and managers.

A dashboard of overdue training: see where training is behind, team by team, and who to follow up with first.

Bulk changes by asking (coming soon): import a file of new users or move a department into a group, with a preview before anything changes, as far as your LMS's API allows.

Common questions

Can I bring our existing SCORM courses into Joy?

Yes. Upload the SCORM package to your Knowledge Center and Joy extracts and indexes what is inside it, so the Knowledge Assistant can answer questions about the course content. The package stays in your LMS as well; nothing is moved.

Which SCORM versions does Joy support?

SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, both for courses you upload and for courses Course Studio exports.

What does Joy read inside a course?

The on-screen text, the narration, and the video. Audio is transcribed and video is described, so answers can draw on the parts of a course that are not written down. How much is reachable depends on the tool the course was authored in.

Does uploading a course affect our completion records?

No. Your LMS stays the system of record for enrollments, completions, and compliance. Previewing an uploaded package in Joy records nothing.

Do we have to leave our LMS to use Joy?

No. Joy is built to work alongside the LMS you already use. You can embed the assistant in it, export courses to it, read from it, and bring its course content in, in any combination.

Does this replace our authoring tool?

Not unless you want it to. Course Studio can author new training from your documents, but bringing an existing SCORM course into the Knowledge Center does not change or re-author it.

We'd just renewed our LMS contract when the AI mandate came down. JoySuite never asked us to replace anything: courses export to SCORM, the assistant sits inside the course player, and completions land in both systems.
