Folders
How folders organize the Knowledge Center, and how to view, create, move, and rename them.
Folders bring structure to your Knowledge Center. Similar to a computer's file system, they keep related assets together so you can find things quickly.
Each folder can hold a mix of assets, including FlexDocs, links, and files. You can even nest folders inside one another, building a hierarchy up to 10 levels deep. This flexibility lets you organize your Knowledge Center by department, team, project, or any other structure that helps users quickly scan your content to find what they need.
Viewing folders
In the Knowledge Center, you can see your full folder structure in the tree menu. To view the subfolders within a folder, click the Expand Arrow beside the folder's name in the menu. Click the Menu icon to show and hide the tree menu.
Folders also appear in the Knowledge Center's main view alongside your FlexDocs, files, and other assets.
Click a folder in the tree menu or the main view to see its contents.
To quickly find a folder, type its name into the Search bar.
Navigating between folders
The quickest ways to navigate between folders are to use the tree menu or breadcrumbs on each page. Think of breadcrumbs as a trail of links that show your current location in a folder and its subfolders. To move to a different level, click a folder name in the breadcrumb trail. If you are in a deep subfolder, you may need to click the Ellipses icon to view the complete list of breadcrumbs.
