What it can look like

An illustrative example. Your output will reflect your own sources, data, and prompts.

Analyze our assessment and completion data in the Knowledge Center and show me where our regional sales teams have the biggest skill gaps by product and compliance topics. Rank the gaps and tell me where to focus first.

I pulled the latest assessment scores and completion records for the four regional sales teams and ranked the five topic areas by gap size: the share of reps scoring below the passing bar. Two topics stand out well ahead of the rest.

Across the regional sales teams, the biggest gaps are in compliance and the new product line: both far above the others and both worth acting on before next quarter.

Skill gap by topic: % of sales reps scoring below passing

Compliance & data handling62%
New product line48%
Pricing & discounting31%
CRM hygiene19%
Discovery skills12%

Compliance & data handling: 62%. Nearly two-thirds of reps score below passing, and it's consistent across all four regions, so this is a company-wide gap rather than a local one. Given the risk attached to compliance, this is where I'd focus first.

New product line: 48%. Just under half of reps fall short, and it's steepest on the two teams that started selling it most recently, an onboarding-timing gap more than a content gap. A short enablement refresh tied to launch would likely move it fast.

The remaining three topics (pricing at 31%, CRM hygiene at 19%, and discovery at 12%) are in normal range and don't need dedicated programs yet. If you build two things this quarter, make them the compliance refresh and the new-product enablement.

Want me to recommend specific modules for the compliance and new-product gaps, or break this down team by team so you can see which region needs the most help?

From scattered scores to a clear priority

Skill Gap Visualization reads your assessment scores, quiz results, and completion data and answers a plain question (where are the biggest gaps?) with a single chart and a written analysis. It ranks the weak topics, shows the size of each gap, and tells you where to focus first.

  1. Connect your learning data

Add your assessment results, quiz scores, and completion records to the Knowledge Center so Joy can read them when you ask.

  2. Ask where the gaps are

Tell Joy which teams and topic areas you care about. It analyzes the data and ranks the gaps by size.

  3. Read the chart and the analysis

Joy returns one chart of the ranked gaps plus a written read of what's driving them. Ask it to break the view down further by team or tenure.

  4. Take it into your planning

Copy the ranked gaps and recommendation into your training plan or budget deck. Joy surfaces the priorities; you decide what to build.

  5. Make it one click for your team

Save this ask as a custom command on the assistant your team already uses, so anyone can run it in one step.

Make it yours

Ranked Gap View

One chart ranks weak topics by the size of the gap so the priority is obvious at a glance.

Grounded In Your Data

Joy reads your actual assessment and completion records. No manual spreadsheet pulls.

Break It Down Further

Slice the same view by team, tenure, or region to find where a gap really concentrates.

Where To Focus

A written recommendation on the one or two gaps worth acting on first.

By Region

Compare the same topics across regions to see where a gap is local versus company-wide.

By Tenure

See whether a gap is a new-hire onboarding issue or a problem across all tenures.

Before Budget Season

Pull a current read of the biggest gaps to justify next year's training investment.

After A Rollout

Check whether a recent program actually closed the gap it targeted.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify skill gaps across my teams?

Ask Joy where your teams are struggling by topic, and it reads your assessment scores, quiz results, and completion data to rank the gaps by size. You get one chart of the ranked topics plus a written read of what's driving each gap and where to focus first.

Is this a live dashboard I have to maintain?

No. It's an on-demand analysis. You ask when you need it (before budget season, after a rollout, when a leader asks) and Joy reads the current data and returns a fresh read. There's no standing board to keep up to date.

Can I see where a gap concentrates?

Yes. Ask Joy to break the same view down by team, region, or tenure and it shows whether a gap is company-wide or local, so you know whether to fix onboarding for one team or build a program for everyone.

What data does it need to work?

Connect your assessment results, quiz scores, and completion records to the Knowledge Center. Joy reads them at ask time. The more of your learning data is connected, the more precise the ranked view of gaps.

Does it tell me what training to build?

It recommends where to focus (the one or two gaps worth acting on first) and can suggest which modules map to them. You decide what to build; Joy makes the priority obvious and backs it with the numbers.
