ChatGPT Business and ChatGPT Enterprise are OpenAI's general assistant for work, priced per seat, and they can now answer from connected company tools. JoySuite is an AI knowledge and learning platform: specialist Assistants answer from your Knowledge Center with the sources shown, Course Studio turns the same knowledge into training, and plans cover unlimited users from $25 a month.
JoySuite draws on OpenAI's models among others, so the choice is less about the model and more about what you need the tool to do. Many teams use a general assistant for personal work and JoySuite for shared knowledge and training.

What each one is for
ChatGPT is a general assistant: it writes, analyzes and answers across almost any topic. In October 2025 OpenAI added company knowledge for Business, Enterprise and Edu, so ChatGPT can answer from connected work apps and cite them.
JoySuite is built around one body of approved knowledge. Specialist Assistants answer from it with the sources shown, the same material becomes courses in Course Studio, and JoySuite works alongside the LMS you already run, or on its own.
Keeping answers to your own material
Both can answer from company knowledge and cite it. They differ in the controls you get over where else an answer can come from.
ChatGPT Business and Enterprise
- Admins control which apps and connectors people can use.
- Enterprise adds role-based access.
- OpenAI's pages do not describe a setting that limits answers to approved sources only.

Which one fits
Choose ChatGPT if
- The work is open-ended and personal, such as drafting, brainstorming, analysis and research
- It has to cover almost any subject
- Many of your people already know ChatGPT
Choose JoySuite if
- A whole team needs answers they can check against your own material
- You want training built from that same material
- You don't want to buy a seat for every person
Using both works well: a general assistant for personal work, and JoySuite for shared knowledge and training.
