Frequently asked questions

Does JoySuite store my Blackboard data?

No. JoySuite connects to Blackboard via API and queries data in real-time. Your LMS data stays in Blackboard. JoySuite reads it from Blackboard when you ask a question and doesn't keep a copy.

What Blackboard permissions does JoySuite need?

Read access for searching and viewing courses, assignments, grades, and content. You control permissions during setup.

Can I limit which courses JoySuite can access?

Yes. During configuration, you choose which courses and data types are available to your AI assistants based on your requirements.

How long does setup take?

About 5 minutes. Click connect, authorize access, choose your settings, and start asking questions about your LMS data.

Does this work with Blackboard Learn Ultra?

Yes. JoySuite supports both Blackboard Learn Original and Ultra experiences through the REST API.
