Assign Knowledge & Understanding

Through your LMS or directly through Joy, you can assign a source file to be understood by one or more of your people.

The source file can be anything within your knowledge center—image, video, PDF, FlexDoc, or anything that you want people to understand.

The Knowledge Coach’s conversational learning approach is vital—it goes beyond simple information delivery to ensure genuine comprehension and topic mastery.

Conversational learning fosters deeper connections, builds confidence, and leads to a robust understanding of topics that learners can rely on.

Instead of building eLearning modules for all of your training, you can leverage any file or document to deliver high-impact conversational learning through your Knowledge Coach.

Your learner is greeted by a Knowledge Coach (whom you can customize).

Their Coach guides them to complete understanding of their target knowledge level through conversational learning techniques.

Learners can browse the source material (in this example it’s a FlexDoc) or minimize it.

Source content can be any asset (document, video, image, etc.)

Once your learner’s knowledge objective has been confirmed, their Coach will mark it as complete and continue with the next objective.

Learners can ask related questions at any time, and if they ask unrelated questions, their coach will gently guide them back on track.

Once your learners demonstrate full understanding to their target knowledge level, they are offered a validation quiz.

Set up Validation quizzes in advance with Joy's Validation Prep tool—this ensures you have control of which questions are asked

During a quiz, your learner is first asked to recall the information.

Unlike one-way training materials, conversational learning engages the user in a dialogue. Your Knowledge Coach acts like a patient tutor: gently probing the learner's grasp of the material, asking clarifying questions, and identifying subtle misunderstandings through the interaction.

By providing tailored feedback and guiding the learner through each step—like rephrasing concepts or offering different examples based on their responses—your Knowledge Coach ensures your learners don't just memorize keywords but truly internalize the 'why' and 'how' behind the assigned material.
